Riley Terry

Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Kinder

Miss Riley joined our teaching staff in the Spring of 2020,

right on the cusp of the global pandemic. Her vibrant

energy and love for dance enriches her students' lives both

inside, and outside of the studio.

A testament to the saying "It's never too late to learn to

dance" Miss Riley started her dance career at the age of 14

when she took her first hip-hop class at a local dance studio.

Her passion for dance was immediately ignited, and she

started assistant teaching so that she could get more time

in the studio. After spending an entire summer taking

private lessons to improve her technique, she began

dancing multiple days per week when she enrolled in ballet,

tap and jazz classes. After gaining a strong foundation from

her first studio, she helped start a new competitive program

and began teaching and choreographing competitive solos.

In addition to teaching and choreographing, Riley also won

1st place at competitions 5 times in two years and 7th overall

in the region.

Miss Riley's love for dancing goes back to when she was a

young child, and would make dances for herself and her

friends to perform for their families. Since joining LDC Riley

has trained extensively in the Discover Dance Preschool

Curriculum (based on Anne Green Gilbert's Brain Dance),

the Acro Dance Teacher's Association, and continued her

dance education by attending dance conventions and

receiving one-on-one training with Jess Hendricks, Brooke

Pierotti, and Randi & Hefa.

According to Miss Riley "My passion and emotion for dance

has quite literally saved my live so many times." Her

compassion and mental/emotional support for her students makes her shine bright, and her infectious energy and love for dance

ignites the passion in her students of all ages.

Miss Riley teaches:

  • Kinder Ballet/Tap

  • Kinder Bop

  • Hip Hop (multiple levels)

  • Acro
  • Jazz/Lyrical
